WAYNESBORO – The first Downtown Waynesboro Indoor Market of the year was held on Jan. 10 at 66 W. Main St., across from Dollar General. The market, held from 9 a.m. to noon, featured local vendors including Humble Roots Mushroom Farm LLC, The Saturday Homestead, C.W. Wax Co., Rose & Ivy, Grace’s Family Farm, Warmth by Wantz, Tree’s Company, Bright Ideas Bakery, Glow Girl Naturals, Tracey Hearron Arts, Faerie Springs Farm, Weyira Olive Oil & Vinegar Tasting Gallery, Taqueria La Cienega, JH Produce, Wicked World Workshop, Witches of the Woods and Graybeard’s.
Those interested in becoming future vendors can contact Carrie Carbaugh at [email protected]. Indoor markets will continue on Jan. 24, Feb. 7, Feb. 21, March 7 and March 21.
Mainstreet Waynesboro will also host several community events this winter, including the Indoor Market and Souper Bowl Food Drive from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 7 at 66 W. Main St. Attendees who bring nonperishable goods will be entered to win two $25 Downtown Waynesboro gift cards. Later that day, a football trivia contest will run from 6 to 8 p.m. with cash prizes and games of chance for teams that register in advance.
On Feb. 21, Mainstreet Waynesboro will hold the Snowman Sip & Stroll from 1 to 4 p.m. Participants can pick up passports at 66 W. Main St., then enjoy beer, wine and spirits at downtown stops before ending at Triggers Table & Taproom for prize drawings. Tickets cost $25 online or $30 at the door.
Closing out the month, the Boro Chili Cook-Off will take place on Feb. 28 at Main Street Park, 25 E. Main St. Chili tasting runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with winners announced at 2 p.m. Entry is $20 per contestant, and attendees can taste and vote for $5. Cash prizes will be awarded to top entries.
