CLARION, Pa. – Junior Marcus Banks scored a career-high 26 points on Friday to lead Shepherd to an 80-77 win over Clarion in PSAC men’s basketball game.
Banks hit 7-of-12 field goals, including three 3-pointers, and 9-of-13 from the line, to go with a career-high 13 rebounds, three assists, and a pair of steals.
Sophomore Elwyne Wordlaw added 14 points and a game-high five assists for the Rams (6-5, 3-2). Sophomore Brody Davis added 12 points, while forward Favor Okigweh (posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Shepherd had a 35-29 lead at halftime in a game that featured six lead changes and three ties.
A close game throughout, Clarion (7-6, 2-3) cut the lead to two points at 79-77 on a three-pointer by Justice Easter with eight seconds remaining in regulation. Banks hit 1-of-2 free throws and Easter’s last-second three-point attempt was off the mark as the Rams held on for the win.

Clarion 81, Shepherd 74
CLARION, Pa. – Kendall Berger scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Clarion to an 81-74 win over Shepherd on Friday in PSAC game.
Sophomore Lamaria Estridge led the Rams (2-7, 0-5) with 21 points, adding seven rebounds and two steals.
Junior Grace Middleton added 17 points with four boards and four steals for Shepherd. Junior Cassidy Rhodes in 11 points, while junior Kara Wehner contributed nine points, a game-high six assists, and three rebounds.
The Golden Eagles (7-4, 2-3) had a 47-41 advantage on the boards. Shepherd forced 31 turnovers and committed 23.
