Mr. Kevin Martin Bilder, age 59, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, passed away peacefully in his home, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born January 26, 1966, in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the son of Irene (Nielands) Bilder and the late Joseph Francis Bilder.
Kevin was a 1985 graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School, where he was a member of the golf team.
Kevin completed his Certificate of Competency in Plumbing from Delaware County Community College, Media, PA, in 1994. In 1995, he was awarded status as Professional Journeyman Plumber. After working for various plumbing companies as part of his education, Kevin achieved Master Plumber/Gas Fitter status. He started his own plumbing business, Bilder and Sons Plumbing, in 2014. Later, he started Bath & Kitchen Quality Design. Both of his sons worked with him in the businesses, which was a source of great joy and pride for Kevin. He earned multiple certifications over the years, attesting to his continuing pursuit of excellence in his profession.
Kevin’s interest in serving the church began in his childhood church, St. Cecilia’s, Coatsville, PA where he was an altar boy and later served as the cook for the priests of the parish. Kevin was a faithful member of the St. Rita Catholic Church, Blue Ridge Summit, where he served as Parish Council President and Offering Counter. He belonged to “That Man Is You,” the parish men’s group. Kevin organized and cooked at several church “fish fries.” Kevin was a 4th degree member of The Divine Mercy Council of the Knights of Columbus, Fairfield, PA. One of his fondest memories of a church activity happened when he was playing Santa for the residents of the Hillside Rest Home. He walked in the door and his pants promptly fell down!
He was a current member of the Monterey Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf, as well as of Fort Ritchie Community Center, Antietam Historical Association, and Sons of the American Legion Post No 239 [Cascade, MD]. An avid fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams, he especially enjoyed cheering on the Eagles and the Phillies.
