Mr. William H. Hastings, Sr., 62 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at Mercy House, Chambersburg.
Born July 10, 1963 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Ralph H. and Edna J. (Robinson) Hastings.
Bill graduated from Williamsport High School (MD) with the Class of 1981.
He and his wife of over 25 years, Rebecca A. “Becky” (Miller) Hastings, were married on April 29, 2000, in Hagerstown, MD.
Bill worked as a security systems installer for Dynamark and Tele-Plus.
He was a member of the former Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro and was currently attending Mountain Top Ministries, Orrtanna, PA. He was also a member of the Leitersburg Volunteer Fire Company, Engine 5 of Hagerstown, MD, Waynesboro Fish and Game and Sons of the American Legion through Clear Spring American Legion Post 222.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking bus trips and tinkering with and testing security systems at his home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son; William H. Hastings, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; and one brother, Daniel J. Hastings of Hagerstown, MD.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD with Patricia Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA.
