Joan Sanbower, 84, of Mercersburg Pennsylvania, passed away on November 20, 2025, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was born in Mercersburg, PA in 1941. Joan was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Robert (Mick) Sanbower II, Daughter Darla Fessler, brother Euguene Fritz and brother Timothy Fritz and is survived by her sons, Robert (June) Sanbower III (Jeneath), John Sanbower (Christine), and siblings Richard (Dickey) Fritz, Carl Fritz, Dale Fritz (Susan), Shirley McFadden (Bob), Fay Wilmoth (Terry). She touched the lives of everyone with her kindness and generosity. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her loved ones and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A celebration of life is planned on 13 December, 2025 at Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post#373, 254 S. Carlisle St, Greencastle, PA from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
