LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University forward Josh Petty was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Athlete of the Year and is one of five members of the Rams’ men’s soccer team have been named to the 2025 PSAC East All-Conference Team.
Petty and Mac Long, a Boonsboro graduate, were selected to the East’s first team, while Josue Guzman, Aaron and goalkeeper Aidan Houck were second team selections.
Petty appeared and started in all 17 games, scoring 12 goals and assisted on three others for a total of 27 points. He led the PSAC with four game-winning goals.
Long started in 16 games and produced six goals and four assists for 16 points. He was a second team All-Conference selection in 2023.
Guzman appeared in 16 games with 15 starts. He scored one goal, which was a. game-winner against Lock Haven. Sullivan started in 17 games. He recorded two goals and two assists.
Houck allowed 1.88 goals per game with 62 saves. He recorded a pair of shutouts and allowed just one goal in three other contests in his 16 games.
The Rams completed the 2025 season with a 6-11-0 overall mark
Shippensburg placed goalkeeper Ryan Krumenacker on the East first-team, while defender Nate Herb and midfielder Nathan Omondi won spots on the second team.

Shepherd Ranked Third in Atlantic Region
INDIANAPOLIS – The Shepherd University women’s soccer team is ranked third in the latest NCAA II Atlantic Region rankings for games through Nov. 9.
West Chester is the region’s top-ranked team with Gannon holding down the No. 2 slot. Kutztown and West Virginia State follow Shepherd to round out the top five3

Shepherd earns seven spots on All-Conference team
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University placed two players on the PSAC East All-Conference first team. Flour others won second-team honors.
Defender Adrianna Morales and midfielder Reagan Ackermann were first-team selections, while midfielder Sarah Peternel, midfielder Josie Beezel, midfielder Katelyn Economopoulos, defender Erika Moore and midfielder Annabelle Wunderlich were named to the second team.
Morales anchored a Shepherd defense that recorded six shutouts and allowed just one goal in seven other contests. She also had two assists in 14 games.
Ackermann, a second team honoree in 2024, had six goals and five assists for 17 points in 15 games. Peternel, also a second-team selection in 2024, recorded a goal and three assists for five points in 15 games.
Beezel tallied five goals and eight assists in 14 games.
Economopoulos, a three-time All-Conference choice, was a steadying force in the midfield for the Rams, playing 15 games.
Moore had one goal and two assists in 14 games, while adding strength to Shepherd’s stingy defense.
Wunderlich, a first team choice in 2024, has appeared in 15 games an produced three goals and four assists.
Shepherd blanks Gannon in PSAC quarterfinals
ERIE, Pa. – Shepherd University recorded a 2-0 win over ninth-ranked Gannon in PSAC Women’s Soccer Tournament quarterfinal action at Gannon.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead when midfielder Reagan Ackermann scored on a feed from defender Adrianna Morales at the 39:43 mark.
The Rams added an insurance goal on an unassisted tally from midfielder Josie Beezel at the 86:18 mark.
Goalkeeper Hannah Wilt recorded six saves for the Rams for her sixth shutout of the season.
The Rams advance to the tournament semifinals on Friday at West Chester.

Shepherd ranked fifth in Atlantic Region
INDIANAPOLIS –Shepherd University is ranked fifth in the latest NCAA II Atlantic Region rankings for games through Nov. 9.
The Rams (19-7) return to action Friday when they travel to Kutztown.
Shippensburg is ranked second in the poll.
Zartman named defensive player of the week
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Shepherd University libero Gracie Zartman was named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Zartman averaged 23.5 digs in a 2-0 week for the Rams. She added seven assists and three aces on the week. Zartman had 23 digs in a three-set win over Bloomsburg on Friday and added 24 in a four-set win over Lock Haven on Saturday.
