Ryan James Teays, 32, passed away November 7, 2025.
Born January 17, 1993 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of James Robert Teays (Amber) of Hagerstown and Amy N. Stine Bennett (Jason) of Winchester, VA.
Ryan attended Smithsburg High School receiving his GED in 2013.
A truck driver by trade, Ryan dedicated many years to driving for Maryland Metals and most recently was a driver for SAIA Trucking.
He attended services at Pond Bank Independent Church and was a member of the Eagles Club, Inc.
Ryan was a devoted and loving father to his two sons, who were the center of his world. He cherished every moment spent with them. Known for his unique collection of chainsaws and vehicles, he also enjoyed playing video games, especially with Shawn and Tyler.
In addition to his parents, Ryan leaves behind his wife of ten years, Jessica M. (Rebert) Teays who he married October 17, 2015; his beloved sons, Shawn Ryan and Dylan Paul Teays; brothers, Noah Teays and Bradley Fleece, twin sisters Alyssa and Emily Teays; Tyler Mills who was like a brother; special cousin, Samantha Teays; step-grandfather, Tommy Wills; best friends, Melvin Dodson and Clay & Angie Carbaugh; and his nieces, Zamara & Gemma along with a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Paula Christine Younker and Carl & Bonnie Teays; and his grandfather-in-law, Dennis Paul Rebert, who he shared a special bond with.
A service to honor and celebrate Ryan’s Life will be held at 6:30 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2025, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M., Friday, in the funeral home.
