GREENE TOWNSHIP – Two men and one woman died in a head-on collision between a car and a truck the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 5, on Molly Pitcher Highway in Greene Township, Pennsylvania State Police reported.
The men were identified as Saintanie Jean Baptiste, 47, and Jodelens Joseph, 42, both of Chambersburg, and the woman as Claire M. Elveus, 30, of Lauderhill, Florida. All were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash occurred at 6545 Molly Pitcher Highway (U.S. 11), which is about halfway between Chambersburg and Shippensburg.
The car, a southbound 2006 Lincoln Zephyr driven by Baptiste, veered across the middle turning lane and into the northbound lane, where it collided head-on with a semi driven by Dandre L. Hayes, 36, of Baltimore, police said.
All three victims were riding in the Zephyr. Hayes suffered possible injuries, but was not transported for treatment, police said.
State Police were assisted on the scene by Shippensburg West End Fire and Rescue Co. and Pleasant Hall, Chambersburg and WellSpan EMS.
