Deacon Elliott Pryor, 15, of Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Born June 4, 2010 in Waynesboro, he was the beloved son of James D. Pryor and Amanda S. Taylor Pryor, both of Waynesboro.
Deacon was currently a sophomore at Waynesboro Area Senior High School where he attended Career Tech, studying engineering.
A thoughtful and logical young man, Deacon found joy in building and creating with his hands while studying engineering and loved learning about anything science and chemistry in his free time. Kindhearted and gentle, he was always the first to lend a hand whenever someone needed help. He loved spending time with his siblings and cousins, whether watching anime and random videos together, or playing Dungeons and Dragons, sharing laugher, imagination and countless memories. He also cherished spending time with a treasured best friend, Lukas Anderson, with whom he shared endless conversations and a deep, lasting bond.
In addition to his mother and father, Deacon leaves behind his step-mother, Christa L. Rogers; siblings, Arianna Pryor-Wolf (Taylor Wolf), Phoenix Pryor, Luka Pryor, Esther Pryor, and Æsop Pryor; step-siblings, Jude Rogers, Wade Rogers, Jaxon Rogers, and Lucy Rogers; grandparents, Julia and Randy Cramer, Ricky and Sandy Pryor, Pamela Pryor and Robert Elburn, and R. Craig and Rhonda Taylor. Outside of immediate family, Deacon was loved by an abundance of extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro.
A time to share memories and honor Deacon’s life will be held immediately following the visitation at 7:00 P.M.
