Mr. William R. “Bill” Angle, 88, of Fairfield, PA, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in his home.

Born July 27, 1937 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Lynn Harvey and Sarah Louise (Tarbutton) Angle.

Mr. Angle was a graduate of Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1955.

He and his wife of over 67 years, Mrs. Nancy Lee (Stoops) Angle, were married January 12, 1958 in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Waynesboro.

Mr. Angle was a longtime and dedicated employee of Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company. He began in 1955 as a stock boy and retired in 2000 as Vice President of the Washington Division with 45 years of service. In retirement, he worked at Mountain Liquors in Emmitsburg, MD for a number of years.

He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1191, William Max McLaughlin VFW Post #695 and Blue Ridge Sportsmen’s Association.

A diehard fan of the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles, Mr. Angle also enjoyed traveling to watch NASCAR races as well as trips to the beach.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves behind four children, Karla J. Stahler and her husband George and William L. Angle, all of Elliottsburg, PA, Dianna L. Yeager and her husband, Ron of Waynesboro and Kurt A. Angle and his wife, Heather of Richmond Hill, GA; seven grandchildren, Amy Stahler, Michelle Stevens, Tara Schnaible, Spencer Angle, Katelyn Butler, Derek Angle and Alex Dudgeon; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Mr. Angle was the last of his immediate family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Lynn Minnich who passed away October 3, 2025.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
