Patricia A. Tresler, age 87, a lifelong resident of State Line, PA currently residing at Williamsport Retirement Home in Williamport, MD, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD. Born September 30, 1937, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Frederick and Loretta Jane Cook Artz.
Mrs. Tresler was a graduate of Greencastle Antrim High School Class of 1955 and Maryland Medical School. She retired in 2005 from Washington County Hospital as a Medical Secretary. She enjoyed shopping, various church activities, bible studies, and she cherished time spent with her family.
Surviving are five children, Donna Oyler (Andy) of Waynesboro, PA, Susan Campbell (Casey) of Chambersburg, PA, Douglas Tresler (Christine) of State Line, PA, David Tresler (Sherry) of State Line, PA, and Michael Tresler (Janet) of State Line, PA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jeffrey Artz (Suzie) of Fernley, NV; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Tresler in 2000 and a granddaughter, LeAnne Shives in 2021.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 6 – 8 PM and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home above. Interment will follow the service in Beautiful View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Doey’s House, 11370 Caring Pathway Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
