Harold L. “Nick” Nichols, Jr., 70, of Greencastle, PA passed away on Wednesday March 26, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV surrounded by family.
He was born on February 16, 1955, in Hagerstown, MD to the late Harold L. Nichols, Sr. and Nancy Bovey.
Nick was a 1973 graduate of Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was also involved in slow pitch softball in Washington County Maryland for over 25 years playing at Pinesburg Softball Complex and Halfway Park.
He is survived by his wife Kim Nichols of Greencastle, PA , whom he married on March 31, 1998; son Erik Nichols and his wife Tasha of Hagerstown, MD; daughter Evonne Nichols of Hagerstown, MD; step son Patrick Bontrager and his fiancé Brooklyn Bartles of Santa Rosa, CA; grandchildren Mayhen Lockley, Jade Lockley, and Kohen Nichols.
The family will receive friends on Monday March 31, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard.
Services will be private.
