SHIPPENSBURG -The Shippensburg University Acting Group will present an immersive adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” this fall, offering audiences a journey through a world of nonsensical fun.
The production, described as an adventure blending improv, acting and behind-the-scenes elements, runs Nov. 13-16 in the historic Memorial Auditorium on campus. Tickets are available at https://shippensburg-university-acting-group.square.site.
SUAG, a fully self-funded club, supports its operations through event admissions, donations from local businesses and patrons, and contributions from members. Beyond mainstage performances, the group hosts improv shows, murder mysteries, karaoke and other events.
In this absurd play within a play, an acting troupe seeks to find its own “Alice” to lead her on a whirlwind of adventures through the whimsical world of Wonderland. With an odd assembly of interesting creatures and characters, the production ensures everyone has a turn in the spotlight.
