CHAMBERSBURG – The Foundry Art Market, 54 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, presents its annual Artist Challenge from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, as part of the Downtown Business Council’s popular fall street festival, AppleFest.
“Our annual Artist Challenge presents artists with the challenge of working on the street, amidst festival-goers, to produce a work of art in two hours,” said Foundry member Anne Finucane. The resulting works of art, and others made by Foundry artists, will be on display at the Foundry through Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29.
Visitors can buy a $5 ticket (or five for $20) any time between Oct. 18 and Nov. 29, for a chance to win their favorite painting. After Small Business Saturday, the winners will be chosen and notified, and the artist whose jar holds the most tickets will win a free membership to the Foundry for 2026.
The Foundry Art Market is located at 54 Lincoln Way W. and houses an upscale gift gallery that features the work of local artists working in clay, wood, jewelry, stained glass, fiber and a wide variety of fine art media.
