WAYNESBORO – Officials of the Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce said the community has something for people of all age groups to enjoy starting on Thursday.
To start out, on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 1-2 p.m. at the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library at 45 East Main St. there will be a Hooks & Needles event. This event is a casual crafting group where people come together to spend time with one another while crocheting, knitting, embroidering, or working on any other craft, whether it involves hooks and needles or not.

Later that day, Thursday Trivia will be held at the Michaux Brewing Company at 11657 Buchanan Trail, hosted by Powerhouse Trivia from 6-8:30 p.m. Registration is free for this event, and enthusiasts may bring a team of up to six people and test your trivia knowledge! Prizes will be awarded to the winners!
On Oct. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Orvis Hill Country Shooting Grounds located at 519 Gladhill Road, Fairfield, there will be a Supporting Clays fundraiser. All the proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to benefit community outreach programs at the Fort Ritchie Community Center.
Registration is $125 per participant and includes:

- 15 shooting stations
- Eye and ear protection
- Catered lunch
- Awards presentations
- Complimentary gift
Guns and ammunition are available for rent at an additional cost, and participants must be 12 years old or older.

On that same day from noon to 1 p.m., the public is invited to join an instructor from Dawnlight Yoga for a calming chair yoga event that is welcoming to people of all ages and experience levels.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a Historic Hearth Cooking Workshop at Renfrew Museum and Park at 1010 East Main St., Waynesboro. At this event, participants will enjoy an intimate, hands-on culinary experience inside Renfrew’s 1814 Summer Kitchen.
Guests will have the chance to learn early 19th-century cooking techniques. They will learn about historic hearth equipment and how it works and how to use it to safely create a delicious meal.

Finally, on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the Calvary Assembly of God on 116 Snider Ave., Waynesboro, in the Stuart Center gymnasium, will be holding a weekly GriefShare support group meeting.
GriefShare is a friendly and caring group of people who will help you alongside one of life’s toughest experience. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who are there to help you and will help you to recover from your loss and help you look forward to rebuilding your life.
