HAGERSTOWN – Ghost tours, a fall festival and a communitywide yard sale are among events this week, announced by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce.
On every Friday for the remainder of October from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Jonathan Hager House, 110 Key St., there will be hosted ghost tours. The tours will start at 6:30 and 8.
During the tours, guests will learn about the tales that make this 18th-century residence of the founder of Hagerstown, Jonathan Hager, at the top of Maryland’s most haunted sites. Tours will be an hour long and will teach guests about common legends of the ghosts of the Hager House.
The charge is $15 per person ages 10 and older, though $20 per person on Halloween Night. Pre-registration online is strongly recommended, as there are limited spots available. To register online, readers may click here.
On the morning of Saturday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 351 N. Cleveland Ave. there will be a Fall Festival in Fairgrounds Park. This event will feature family-friendly fall activities, including balloon giveaways. Pumpkin painting, pony rides, face painting and more!
The first 1,000 children receive a free small pumpkin.

Finally, on Saturday, Oct. 11, there will be community yard sales along a stretch of 72 yards of sale vendors at 521 N Cannon Ave. Come to find new or old treasures at thrift store prices at the stables of Fairgrounds Park.
