WILLIAMSPORT, Md. — The 5K and 10K C&O Canal Towpath hike benefiting Micah’s Backpack, the Refugee Welcome Network and other Hagerstown Area Religious Council charities is set for Saturday, May 30. Registration is open online up through Friday, May 29, at 5 p.m. or in-person on the event day (a t-shirt is not guaranteed, but HARC will try to get you one).
The check-in location for all hikers is Zion Lutheran Church, 35 W. Potomac St., Williamsport. The hike will run along a beautiful section of the towpath, with snack and drink stops, a good lunch and family-friendly fun — all for a good cause! All individual fundraising will be matched 2-1 by the God’s Grace Fund.
