Celebrate 1st Friday. Come out to the Inaugural First Friday event in downtown Waynesboro with an egg hunt in several downtown businesses between 4 and 6:30 p.m. on Good Friday, April 7—stop by Main Street Park to get your list of businesses. Waynesboro Theatre will be playing “Rise of the Guardians” before the hunt at 2 p.m. After the hunt, gather back at Main Street Park for music by Brian Forberger. The egg hunt is free but registration is required in advance at Mainstreet Waynesboro.
Enjoy the tunes. Drew Adams Acoustic will perform Friday, April 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Michaux Brewing Co. Adams will perform a wide variety of popular current and classic tunes.
Fly a kite. A kite fly will be held Saturday, April 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hooverville Elementary School. Bring your own kite or make one from recycled materials.
Go hunting. The 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at My Child To Yours Consignment in Fayetteville. Free pictures with the Easter Bunny will be from 11a.m.-2 p.m. Egg hunts will be:
Newborn-age 2: 11:30 a.m.
Ages 3-5: noon
Ages 6-10: 12:30 p.m.
A final round will begin at 1pm for any remaining goodies. All ages welcome.
Go hunting—take 2. A Community Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 8, at 1 p.m. at Fort Ritchie Community Center. Egg Hunt Times:
1 p.m.: 0-2-year-olds
1:05 p.m.: 3-5-year-olds
1:10 p.m.: 6-8-year-olds
1:15 p.m.: 9-12-year-olds
The Easter Bunny will arrive at 1 p,m, to start the egg hunt. This event is sponsored by SGI.
