Take the kids to a show. The WASHS All-School Production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical will take the stage Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 12, at 2 p.m. in the WASHS auditorium. Tickets may be purchased in advance online or at the door. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for students/children. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.
Howl along. The Howlers will perform Friday, March 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Zach Greenlee’s Trackside Steak & Seafood in Hagerstown.
Venture into volunteering. Renfrew Museum & Park will host a 2023 Volunteer Information Session on Saturday, March 11, from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. Visit the Wagon Shed Room at the Visitors Center or attend an online session to learn about volunteer opportunities. All current and prospective volunteers interested in serving during the 2023 season must register and attend the Volunteer Info Session. Contact the museum for more information.
Meet an author. Esther Yoder Stenson will hold a book reading and signing Saturday, March 11, at noon, at Booksavers of Maryland (13625 Pennsylvania Ave., Maugansville). Her book, “Doors Through the Great Wall” is a memoir set in post-Mao China. It describes her experiences and adventures as a young Anabaptist English teacher in meeting a culture both entirely different, yet surprisingly similar to the Amish Mennonite culture.
Come out of your shell. The York County Reptile Show will be held Sunday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wyndham Garden York. This family-friendly show will feature reptiles, amphibians, and other exotic animal enthusiasts. Displays, supplies, feeders, enclosures, and so much more!
