Boonsboro Food Truck Festival returns this weekend

BOONSBORO, MD- The 3rd Annual Boonsboro Food Truck Festival is set to take place on Sunday, Sept. 3, from noon to 6 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature live music all afternoon, musicians and performing arts for the kids, a corn hole tournament, garden tractor pull, axe throwing, and a Beer, Wine, & Craft Cocktails Garden. All children’s activities are free. The event is to take place rain or shine at Shafer Park located at 37 Park Dr., Boonsboro, MD.

The festival will kick off with the registration for the Garden Tractor Pull at 10 a.m., and pulling will begin at noon. The food trucks will start serving at noon and continue until 6p.m., and the Beer, Wine & Craft Cocktail Garden will also be open during this time. The Corn Hole Tournament registration will take place from noon to 12:30 p.m., and the bags will fly at 1 p.m. inside the Beer Garden.

The festival will feature live music throughout the day, with Prophets of The Abstract Truth performing from noon to 2 p.m. on the Bandstand, and Elijah Myers performing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the Beer Garden Stage. The Plate Scrapers will close out the festival with a performance from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Bandstand.

In addition to the music, there will be plenty of activities for all ages, including axe throwing with Axe Hole, a K9 demonstration by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department at 3 p.m., and the Keystone National Garden Tractor Pull, which will take place from noon until late afternoon.

The Boonsboro Food Truck Festival is a food-centric event, and the organizers strive for a good balance and a variety of choices among the vendors. The festival will feature 24 food trucks and roaming entertainment. The event is free to attend, and attendees can purchase food and drinks from the vendors.
