CHAMBERSBURG–Franklin County Commissioners will meet, May 1, beginning at 10 a.m. in the administration building. The agenda is as follows:

4.01 Vouchers

4.02**Aging – Food and Beverage License renewal for Waynesboro Senior Activity Center for (6 months) from 6/22/2024-12/21/2024 for $41.00 (new location must be inspected every 6 months). This board action is also for Tuscarora Senior Activity Center (18 months) from 6/4/2024-12/3/2025 for $123.00. The State just changed from a 12 month inspection to an 18 month inspection due to the site being established for such a long period of time. This will be paid from the PDA Aging Black Grant Title III-C.

4.03**Aging – This is a change to the Board Approval given on 4/10/2024 for the purchase of a 2024 Chevy Trailblazer for the Agency on Aging. The original agreement included a trade-in which was not accurate. This agreement removes the $200 credit for the trade-in changing the cost from $22,800 to $23,000.

4.04 Grants – The County of Franklin is requesting $250,000 to provide an enhanced Probation with Restrictive Conditions plan bringing together mandated supervision, as well as, Restorative Sanctions (RS) and Restrictive Intermediate Punishment (RIP) to eligible offenders.

4.05**Mental Health / Intellectual Disabilities / Early Intervention (MH/IDD/EI) agreement between Franklin and Fulton Counties and Vector Media Holding Corp to advertise 988 on the panels of the Rabbit Transit vehicles from May 13 to August 4, 2024. The advertisement will be to make the public aware of the 988 life line. The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for individuals in distress, prevention and crisis resources at a cost of $17,830.00. This will be paid by the State.

4.06 Personnel – The Board will consider the approval of the job description for E911 Training & Quality Coordinator

5. Regular Agenda

5.01**Jail – agreement between the County of Franklin and Superior Laundry Equipment to purchase a new dryer for the central laundry at the Jail to dry inmate clothing at a cost of $5,770.00. The existing model’s motor is no longer able to be purchased or repairable. This will be paid from the Store Account Funds.
