Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced on June 6, 2023 that a bridge on Route 997 in Quincy Township, Franklin County, has opened to traffic. The bridge spans the West branch of Antietam Creek between Mont Alto Road (Route 2031) and Orchard Drive near Mont Alto Borough.

The bridge had been closed for replacement with a detour in place since mid-April.

This project includes replacing the previous single span concrete slab bridge with a precast reinforced concrete box culvert.

This is part of a two-bridge project that includes replacing a bridge on Mont Alto Road (Route 2031) in Guilford Township. That bridge was completed in January.

Doli Construction Corporation of Chalfont, PA, is the prime contractor on this $836,018 project.
