The Institute Presents Summer Series for Preschoolers

WAYNESBORO- The Institute is offering a series of six outdoor nature programs for preschoolers in June and July.

Designed for children ages 2.5 to 5, the Wee Wonder programs will run on Tuesdays, June 13, 20, and 27, and July 11, 18 and 25 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa. Registration for the full series is required. 

“The sessions have been expanded to 90 minutes this summer,” said Pam Rowland, Institute director of education. “Themes include Fun with the Sun, Water Play, The Beach, Mud Pies, Rainbows, and Reptiles & Amphibians.” 

Taught by Institute educators, age-appropriate program activities include exploring the outdoors, hikes, theme-related story books, rhymes, finger plays, nature games, crafts, songs, and puppets.

Pre-registration for the full series and payment in advance are required by June 9. The fee for all six programs is $48 for members of The Institute and $60 for the general public, per child.
