Local Township Supervisors Accept Art Donation

WAYNESBORO–At their regularly scheduled Supervisors meeting, Washington Township Supervisors accepted an art donation from Ivanka Litoshik.

Litoshik,who is a member of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School Class of 2023, is an Advanced Placement Art Student,served as an Art Intern, and is President of the Art Honor Society, was inspired to create this work showcasing the Appalachian Trail and animals native to the Township.

“On behalf of the Washington Township Board of Supervisors, I am pleased to accept this wonderful work of art,”said Vice-Chairman Charlie Strausbaugh.

“The Appalachian Trail is a prominent feature of our township, and as an official ‘Appalachian Trail Community,’this piece beautifully captures our commitment to our natural heritage. We commend Ivanka for her artistic talents and greatly appreciate her donation.

”This 4×8 painting will be on display in the lobby of the new Washington Township Municipal Office, located at 11798 Buchanan Trail East for a few months, before being permanently housed at the Rouzerville Community Center.
