Shop and dine. Wild Annie’s Restaurant in McConnellsburg is hosting a Mother’s Day Shopping Extravaganza Friday, May 12, from noon to 7 p.m. The patio will be filled with one-of-a-kind makers and artists with original work.

Swap your rocks. The Franklin County Rock & Mineral Club is hosting a Spring Rock Swap & Sale Saturday, May 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South Mountain Fairgrounds. 15-20 vendors expected, plus a food stand (cash only). Admission is $1 for adults. Children 12 and under are admitted for free.

Celebrate spring. Downtown Mercersburg will host its annual Springfest Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 100 vendors will be on hand, plus entertainment.

Enjoy the walk. A Downtown Window StoryWalk Remake Learning Day will be held Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at Mainstreet Park in Waynesboro. Get tons of free stuff, including a new book, and read a book in the windows of downtown storefronts as part of our monthly Downtown Window StoryWalk and Remake Learning Day in partnership with First Start Partnerships and the Waynesboro Area School District.

Go ghosting. A Paranormal Party in the Park will be held Saturday, May 13, from noon to 5 p.m. at Monetery Pass Battlefield Park & Museum. Local artisans, metaphysical vendors, paranormal teams, food, music, and more.
