McDonald’s victim of armed robbery

WAYNESBORO–Waynesboro Police responded to the McDonald’s Restaurant on East Main Street early Wednesday morning for a reported armed robbery.

According to police, around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, employees reported an unknown individual brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun entered the business and took cash from the registers as well as the night deposit.

The individual fled from the building travelling on foot southbound across the parking lot. There were no injuries.

The suspect is reported to be a young white male, stocky build, blue eyes, approximately 5’10” in height, wearing a black hoodie and mask at the time of the robbery.
