See the carvers. The 2nd Annual Keystone State Carving Event raises money to help veterans and first responders. The event will feature more than 55 carvers daily, plus vendors, lumberjacks, helicopter rides, live music and more. Held at through Saturday at 1501 Criders Church Road, Chambersburg.

Shop and save. The Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department will host a community yard sale Saturday, April 15, beginning at 7 a.m. at the FVFD Community Center. The event is open to the public. Anyone who wishes to participate may set up outside in the parking lot. Bring your own tables. The yard sale is free to attend or set up. Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department will be serving breakfast.

Eat for a cause. Franklin Street Community Garden will host a breakfast fundraiser Saturday, April 15, from 8-10 a.m. at the UAW building, 127, Cumberland Valley Ave. The all-you-can-eat buffet will feature scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, gravy, pastries, fruit, OJ and coffee. Cost is by donation, $10 for adults, $5 for kids 3-12. Proceeds will go towards purchasing a new sign.

Check out the wings. Open Airplane Day will be held Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hagerstown Aviation Museum, 18450 Showalter Road, Hagerstown. Bring the family out to the historic Fairchild Dome hangar and climb aboard museum aircraft & exhibits.

Bid for a cause. The 41st Annual Waynesboro Area Cancer Auction will be held Saturday, April 15 at Green Grove Gardens. Doors open at 3 p.m. Silent Tables Begin at 4 p.m. Live auction begins at 5:30 p.m. Free to attend. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
