WAYNESBORO – A wedding expo is coming to Waynesboro this spring.

Mainstreet Waynesboro will be transforming the American Legion Post 15 into a one-stop shop for brides-to-be and their families on Saturday, March 11 in the American Legion ballrooms in downtown Waynesboro.

The event will feature everything a couple needs to get ready for the big day: from flowers and cakes to dresses and honeymoons.

Ruth’s Sewing Room & Gowns of Williamsport, Md., will present a runway show featuring new/stock and consignment gowns, which will be available for purchase that day.

The inaugural expo will feature dozens of mostly local vendors in both ballrooms of the renovated American Legion post at 63 E. Main St.

“The perfect day is in the details and we’ve got you covered,” said Cari Kreps, Mainstreet Waynesboro event planner and administrative assistant.

Attendees will enjoy meeting a variety of wedding professionals, food tastings, a recycled decorations sale, music by Emcee and disc jockey Donovan Yaukey; a used dress sale hosted by Allison’s Alterations & Creations; and much more.

Brides-to-be will receive a complimentary tote bag with some goodies inside and have the opportunity to win prizes, which will be given away at the end of each session.

“We look forward to seeing your smiling faces,” said Kreps.

Tickets for the event cost $5 in advance and $10 at the door, and are available in two time slots: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available at Eventbrite.com.

Mainstreet is still looking for sponsors and additional vendors and volunteers. No direct sales vendors are permitted. For a vendor application, go to www.mainstreetwaynesboro.org. For more information about the event, email Kreps at [email protected].
