5 Things to do this weekend: Feb. 3-5

Celebrate the skies. A Comet Party will be held Friday, Feb. 3, from 7:30-10 p.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area. The Institute and the TriState Astronomers (TSA) invites visitors to view “The Green Comet” through the telescopes of the TSA.

Celebrate National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. The 2nd Annual Ice Cream for Breakfast with a Cop will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. at The Crispy Biscuit. Tickets are $15 and proceeds will benefit South Central Camp Cadet.

Celebrate 3 years. Rough Edges Brewing will celebrate 3 years in Waynesboro Saturday, Feb. 4, from noon to 10 p.m. with food, games and music. Trivia will be held at 1 p.m.; Fat Russ BBQ will appear at 4 p.m. and live music with Rich Fehle will begin at 6 p.m.

Celebrate winter. A winter hike will be offered Saturday, Feb. 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Caledonia State Park. Park in Lot 1 (the one past the swimming pool). The Ramble trail follows the millrace of an old rolling mill. It passes through one of the oldest white pine plantations in Pennsylvania and is a great place to see woodland birds. The trail is rocky with light elevation, easy—or opt to climb up the AT – moderate/hard. There will be a leader for both hikes and both should finish at about the same time. Dress warmly, it will be cold, but clear and beautiful.

Celebrate your youth. The Greencastle Toy & Collectible Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Blue Heron Events in Greencastle. More than 40 dealers will sell modern and vintage toys including Transformers, wrestling figures, Star Wars, GI Joe, Hot Wheels, Greenlight, Funko Pop, Lego, Action Figures, Pokemon, Video Games and more. Admission is free.
