Borough seeks volunteers

CHAMBERSBURG–From time to time the Town Council of the Borough of Chambersburg is called upon to appoint citizens to various Boards, Commissions and Committees that assist in furnishing advice and other services essential to the conduct of local government.

Town Council is seeking volunteers to serve on the following Boards, Committees and Commissions:

Housing Commission (1 vacancy): Must have knowledge of housing and the community. Must be Borough resident age 18 or over.

Southgate Neighborhood Advisory Committee (5-7 vacancies): New Committee to be appointed by Council in 2023. Must have connections to the Southgate Shopping Center neighborhood and a desire to be involved in its redevelopment efforts.

Zoning Hearing Board (2 vacancies for alternate members): Must have knowledge of land development, construction or the law. Must be Borough resident age 18 or over.
