Today, Nov. 29, is Giving Tuesday. Many local nonprofits are asking for donations, including:
Waynesboro Community & Human Services is one. This #GivingTuesday, WCHS is asking for help to build our community by supporting the program, “Room at the Inn,” to help provide temporary emergency hotel stays for families when WCHS is closed so they have a safe, warm place to sleep. The Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro is also seeking donations for their Senior Arts Program. Each month, CAC visits senior centers and retirement communities across Franklin County to lead free ceramics classes. Research shows that artistic activities have significant positive impacts on older adults. Not only is creating art with others an enjoyable and social activity, but it can also improve cognitive function, memory, and self-esteem while reducing stress. The Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies (parent organization for the Ceramic Arts Center of Waynesboro) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Learn more about our work at waynesboroceramics.org.
Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is accepting donations and every dollar will be matched. That money goes to helping the animals in our kennels right now. Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter – CVAS | Facebook
