Honor a Veteran. There will be an indoor Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. today at the Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46 on Philadelphia Avenue in Chambersburg. All are welcome.

Take a StoryWalk with Clifford. Join WASD Be the Village, Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc., Waynesboro Theatre and First Start Partnerships for Children and Families for a Downtown Window Storywalk kickoff on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Waynesboro Theatre. Come inside the theatre to select your choice of a Clifford book, including graphic novels. Books and activities are limited, so mark your calendar to snag your copies.

Take a history lesson. Head to Fort Loudoun Saturday, Nov. 12, from noon to 5 p.m. for Allegheny Uprising. This interactive experience commemorates the Allegheny Uprising (aka the Black Boys Rebellion of 1765). Which side will you choose: the British garrison or Justice William Smith and the frontier rebels? Learn about this pre-Revolutionary War uprising and its impact on American history. Admission is free.

Get ready for the holidays. Make a homemade painted wooden ornament Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library. Registration  ($3) is required by contacting the library.

Celebrate our heroes. The Wayne Band will perform in concert to salute our nation’s veterans on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 3 p.m. at Trinity UCC, 30 W. North St. Enjoy this music with patriotic selections and marches.
