SOUTH MOUNTAIN–Members and friends of South Mountain Bible Church in the Village of South Mountain, recently stuffed shoeboxes for distribution by Operation Christmas Club, a project by Samaritan’s Purse, a ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Charlotte, N.C.

Samaritan’s Purse is an international relief organization. Its mission is to provide partners in more than 100 countries with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The ministry ships thousands of shoeboxes outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease and to children living on Native American reservations in the United States.

The South Mountain group is just one a thousands of volunteers across the nation who contribute to this project in November for distribution before Christmas.
